Tiny House Tuesday: London Calling

Finding a room of one’s own in London can be tricky. For most people, it means buying an expensive one bedroom or purchasing a studio and using the price difference to invest in a remodel.

Jennifer Beningfield of Openstudio Architects helped one young homeowner do the latter, transforming this 290-square-foot studio into a multifunctional space. They added an additional 80 feet by creating a sleeping loft, then maximized the space by including sliding walls and folding doors to conceal the kitchen when it’s not in use.

Every inch of the studio was customized for maximum storage and efficiency. Jennifer’s thoughtful design elevated the space from humble studio to a sleek, subtly sophisticated home—the epitome of London style.
