Archives For Paris

“Movement” was the theme for 2014’s Designer’s Days (D’DAYS) in Paris—and the Dissidence Hammock certainly got things swinging.

Designed by Laurent Corio in collaboration with French carpentry outfit Tecsabois, the classic yet modern sling was designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

Corio describes the hammock as “an installation which invites to a slow motion, breaking with a stressful and restless everyday life … a vehicle to focus to a much more constructive forward-looking daydream!”

Elsa Lepeu is the cofounder of Zoobeetle, an e-tailer she started with her sister Johanna. The sisters created the Paris-based website after realizing that there wasn’t a place to find the unique items they discover during their travels. Each item tells a story—of a craft, an artisan, a culture.

Her apartment in Paris is filled with a mix of flea market finds, Ikea furniture, and treasures scored from around the world. Tall windows, eclectic artwork, and pattern play make this one of our favorite spaces. (And inspires more than a little wanderlust.)
